Kehoe on March 12, As a student of history and a lifelong Bears fan, I thoroughly enjoyed Papa Bear. Halas accomplished some amazing things in his lifetime, and yet made many mistakes along the way. The author did a fair job of painting Halas as a strong but at the same time flawed individual.
