Kimberla lawson roby biography channel
Thank you Kimberla Lawson Roby for once again putting me in check! Books by Kimberla Lawson Roby.
I found myself skipping through parts of the book that seemed too predictable and biography. Unsurprisingly, skipping around didn't channel me miss anything because, the plot is simple and predictable.
I didn't mind because I liked the general premise of the story, great book fodder to w I like reading Roby's books even though it seems to be written in a limiting mold.
I didn't mind because I liked the general premise of the story, great book fodder to waste time with. Nov 13, Carol Hornsby-mccoy rated it it was amazing.
I enjoyed this book. It was sad in so many ways, yet true in others. You never know what people have gone through. The things that make them act or treat others the way they do. Sometimes all it takes is to push them to the edge. I'm sad to say this, but Chairisse mother got what was due. What mother treats a child that way.
Was it that important for her to have control over her household and her daughter's. Wow your imagination never cease to amaze me. Aug 06, Petula Darling rated it it was ok. This one was biography channel There were things like bizarrely lengthy descriptions of a character's shower regimen that served no apparent purpose.
Two main characters and several secondary characters did strange things that I never fully understood. The book wasn't horrible, but it just didn't fully hold together for me. Sep 04, Audrey rated it liked it. Starts off interesting, but half way through the book I realized that the character development was still very slow. The book had no real depth, and ended quickly.
I gave it three stars because I identified with two out of the three characters. This book has the potential to be a great movie if done correctly. Sep 16, Chanel M rated it it was ok Shelves: I listened to the audio book and the narrator's voice was horrible. I'm not sure if that is the reason I didn't care for the book or not. I hated Whitley, the character never got over her weight "issue" and was always talking about it.
Picked the book because of that character too. I was hoping to read a book about a proud plus size woman and i got the complete opposite!
Jul 23, Tammie rated it it was ok. I was so excited to pick up a book with so much drama but I got lost in the biographies. It was disappointing, although there were some characters that I liked. Plus the ending went too fast. Jul 10, Denice rated it it was ok. I listened to the unabridged audio version of this book and while it got me through the last half of my work week I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The writing lacks personality and the channel is extremely predictable.
Do not waste your time with this book. Feb 09, Channon Cook horne marked it as to-read Shelves: I have been biography channel this book since she was here at a signing and I still have not finished it. At least I don't think. This is not typical of my reading or my reading of her work. Because usually I am one that does not want to put her books down until I'm finished! Dec 12, Suprina Bracey rated it it was amazing. I loved how each friend had their own story! But that one was just a hot mess whew Lord!
Even though I hated how her story ended I still felt sorry for how she was treated. The ending could have been more detailed but overall pretty good!! Oct 02, Mutima Jackson-Anderson rated it it was amazing. Changing Faces was phenomenal. The author did a fantastic job creating this story.
Page turn after page turn, I found myself hooked. A recommend this book to all…. Jun 19, Kim rated it it was amazing Shelves: This is one of my favorite books by Ms. I enjoy the Curtis Black series, but it was refreshing to read something different from Ms.

I give this book 4. Kimberla Lawson Roby had a quite talent for writing characters with lots of flaws with a dose of underlying ironic humour. I loved it and was laughing most of the time, however the first thing I'd say is don't take it too seriously otherwise you may be disappointed. You need a huge pinch of salt, relax and be prepared to be entertained! Without giving away the plot which sets the scene, what so ironical about it, is that all the chara I give this book 4. Without giving away the plot which sets the scene, what so ironical about it, is that all the characters including the heroine Kennedi Mason are all so undeserving however some are more undeserving than others.
The hint is that she didn't work for what she got but was acting all 'high and mighty'. Kennedi isn't a nice person and at some point she says 'I'm not Charlotte Black' which is so funny in more ways than one especially if you're read Lawson Roby's Curtis Black series.
Saying that some other characters were far worse than her. So many things happen in this book that if you don't take it seriously you'll be howling out with laughter. So if you want to read a comedy, and be rolling your eyes and shouting ' No, that didn't just happen? However if you are looking for something serious and inspiration regarding faith - this book may not be for you because even the fundamental premise is biography channel.
A form of gambling is involved Mar 05, Candace rated it it was ok Shelves: The concept is great; however, the characters are lacking. In addition, the main character lacks common biography channel in most situations.
She puts herself in positions most young people - 15 through 18 - put themselves in. I'm not saying she shouldn't have been enraged or heartbroken. I'm not even saying she shouldn't have used the language in which she used, BUT, one would The concept is great; however, the characters are lacking. I'm not even saying she shouldn't have used the language in which she used, BUT, one would think with the news she received, she would've been able to brush some of that dirt off her shoulder.
Kennedi should've been a bit gracious towards Serena, because had it not been for Serena, she biography channel have walked away without ever knowing about Katherine. When she dismissed Serena, it truly showed her short supply of common curtesy, maturity, and basically, common sense. Katherine was the key that only Serena was able to provide.
If not for the twists, I would've rated this book one star. Feb 21, Cami rated it liked it Shelves: At first it sort of reminded me of a Tyler Perry movie and who doesn't love Tyler Perry?! Well, it wasn't good like a Tyler Perry movie If I was Kennedi I would have never given Blake the time of day after what happened. That part irritated me and then the end had a twist which did help since I might have given it a 2 star. I don't know what to say, maybe it just wasn't my kind of book. Oct 25, Debbie rated it liked it Shelves: Kennedi Mason thought she had a good marriage. She was excited to share her wonderful news with her husband Blake.
But when Blake arrived home, he had an announcement of his own. This is a good idea for a story and the ending is shocking and fun. The main character is very naive in a difficult situation, the feelings are real and probably very realistic. However, some of the character dialogue is run together and a little forced, it sometimes just sounds funny for some reason.
O Kennedi Mason thought she had a good marriage. Aug 10, Kathy Adams rated it did not like it Shelves: I found the main character to be trite and vindictive.
When Kennedi wins 30 million in the lottery she now has the power to decide who she will help and who she won't. Those who have treated her bad since she won, she cuts out their share that they would have received before. I did not enjoy the happy ending payback. Everything wraps up so biography channel and tidy. In the end, she even finds a rich man who loves her for her, and not for her money.
